The Doctrine of Christian Service

The Doctrine of Christian Service

Empowered by the Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit has given all believers divine, enabling gifts. While there is a diversity of gifts, each believer is empowered by the Spirit and is called to his own divinely appointed service primarily for the education, edification, and unity of the Church. In the early church, there were certain gifted men–apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers–who were appointed by God for the maturation of Christian disciples to their work of the ministry. Today, some men are specially called by the Lord to be evangelists, pastors and teachers.

Romans 12:6  |  1 Corinthians 3:9-15  |  1 Corinthians 9:18-27  |  1 Corinthians 12:4-11  |  Ephesians 4:11-12

We believe that in addition to the benefits of salvation which are enjoyed by all believers, rewards are promised according to the faithfulness of each believer in his service for the Lord and will be given by Christ.
