The Doctrine of Jesus Christ

The Sacrificial Lamb for the Sins of the World

We believe that the eternal Son of God came into this world, was born of a virgin and received a human body and sinless human nature.

Matthew 4:1-11  |  Luke 1:27-35  |  Hebrews 2:14-18  |  Hebrews 4:14-15

We believe that undiminished, absolute deity and perfect humanity were and are inseparably united in Jesus Christ alone.

Luke 2:40  |  John 1:1-14  |  Colossians 2:9

We believe that Christ voluntarily became the divinely provided, ultimate, sacrificial lamb for the sins of the world, bearing vicariously once and for all the holy judgments against sin which the righteousness of God must impose.

Isaiah 53:3-7  |  John 1:29  |  Romans 3:25-26  |  1 Timothy 1:15  |  Hebrews 10:5-14  |  1 Peter 3:18

We believe in the literal, physical resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead in His earthly, glorified body, and that His resurrection body is the pattern of that which will ultimately be given to all believers.

Luke 24:6-8  |  John 20:20, 27  |  Philippians 3:20-21

We believe that on leaving the earth, alive, glorified and victorious, He ascended to the Father, and His full acceptance is the full assurance to us that His redeeming work was perfectly accomplished. He then became head over all things to the Church, which is His Body, and in this ministry, He acts as intercessor and advocate to the saved.

Ephesians 1:22-23  |  Hebrews 1:3  |  Hebrews 7:25  |  1 John 2:1
